1கர்த்தர் வீட்டைக் கட்டாராகில், அதைக் கட்டுகிறவர்களின் பிரயாசம் விருதா;
Unless the LORD builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain.

2கர்த்தர் நகரத்தைக் காவாராகில் காவலாளர் விழித்திருக்கிறது விருதா.

5வாலவயதின் குமாரர் பலவான் கையிலுள்ள அம்புகளுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறார்கள். (6) அவைகளால் தன் அம்பறாத்தூணியை நிரப்பின புருஷன் பாக்கியவான்; அவர்கள் நாணமடையாமல் ஒலிமுகவாசலில் சத்துருக்களோடே பேசுவார்கள்.
